The Jim Woods Cup

This is an 18 hole, 4 ball, betterball invitational competition between teams selected by the President ( Chairman from 2015 ) and the Captain.

Historical results do not appear to be available,

2010 won by Captain John Phillips.2011 won by Captain Ray Foster.2012 won by President Jim Woods.

2013 won by Captain Dave Bolan.2014 halved between President Jim Woods and Captain Bill Starkey.

2015, won by Chairman Ray Shepherd. The competition now between teams of the Chairman and the Captain.

2016, unknown, anybody know? 2017, same as above, who won it?

2018, won by Chairman Ray Shepherd, beating Lee Bellyou in a change of match to a betterball stableford points after adding the various team results together.

2019, won by Captain Dickie Barnbrooks team, Andy Moore nearest the pin, Paul Smith nearest the pin in 2

2020/2021 Pandemic days, no competition

2022 won by Chairman Ray Shepherd, beating Captain Andy Moore's team 2-1 at Maylands GC. Steve Gildersleeves won nearest the pin and longest drive.
